By accessing or using TextAgo (“the site”, “the Service”) you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
TextAgo provides a free, browser-based text editor and related tools. The Service is provided “as is” with no guarantee of uptime, data retention or feature availability. Because notes are stored in your browser’s localStorage, we are not responsible for any loss of data resulting from clearing browser data, switching browsers or devices, or using private/incognito mode. See also our Disclaimer.
You must be old enough to form a binding agreement where you live, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 where local law requires).
You do not need to create an account. We do not collect personally identifiable information beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
You agree to use TextAgo only for lawful purposes. You must not:
The tools under /tools (image to text, text to PDF, text to Excel, document viewer, text to speech, picture translation and barcode scanner) are provided free of charge for lawful personal and business use. Do not use them to process material you have no right to copy or translate, and do not use automated means to overload them. Results are generated automatically and may contain errors; you are responsible for checking them before relying on them.
Content you write in the notepad belongs entirely to you and stays on your device. You are solely responsible for your content and for backing it up. Because we do not receive your notes, we do not review or moderate them.
The TextAgo name, logo, design, page text and code are the property of TextAgo and may not be copied, reproduced or republished without written permission, except for normal personal use of the Service and brief quotation with a link back to us.
TextAgo uses third-party services including Google Analytics, Google AdSense and CDN-hosted libraries (jsPDF, docx.js, Mammoth.js). Their use is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties.
TextAgo is funded by advertisements provided by Google AdSense. By using the Service you agree that ads may be displayed on our tool pages. Ad personalisation depends on your choices in Cookie settings. We do not endorse advertisers and are not a party to any transaction between you and an advertiser. Using ad-blocking tools is your choice, but we may ask for support in other ways.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. You can manage consent at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer.
TextAgo is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted or secure, or that templates and content are suitable for your needs.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TextAgo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.
You agree to indemnify and hold TextAgo harmless from claims arising from your unlawful use of the Service or breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
If you believe content on our pages infringes your copyright, please follow the steps in section 10 of our Disclaimer.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service at any time without notice, and may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date shows the latest revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
We may restrict or block access to the Service for anyone who breaches these Terms or abuses the Service.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the applicable jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
