By using TextAgo ("the site", "the service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully before using the service.

1. The Service

TextAgo provides a free, browser-based text editor. The service is provided "as is" with no guarantee of uptime, data retention, or feature availability. Because all notes are stored in your browser's localStorage, we are not responsible for any loss of data resulting from clearing your browser data, switching browsers, or using private/incognito mode.

2. No Account Required

You do not need to create an account to use TextAgo. The service is fully anonymous. We do not collect personally identifiable information beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use TextAgo only for lawful purposes. You must not use the service to:

• Create, store, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Attempt to disrupt or interfere with the operation of the site
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the service in bulk
• Use the service to infringe on the intellectual property rights of others

4. Intellectual Property

The TextAgo name, logo, design, and code are the intellectual property of TextAgo and may not be reproduced or used without written permission. Content you write in the notepad belongs entirely to you.

5. Third-Party Services

TextAgo uses third-party services including Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and CDN-hosted JavaScript libraries (jsPDF, docx.js, Mammoth.js). Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party services.

6. Advertisements

TextAgo displays advertisements provided by Google AdSense to support the free service. By using the service, you agree that we may display advertisements alongside the notepad interface.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

TextAgo is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TextAgo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

9. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
