This Privacy Policy explains how TextAgo (“TextAgo”, “we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use textago.com and its country and language versions (the “Service”). TextAgo is an independent project. You can reach us at hello.textago@gmail.com.
TextAgo does not collect, transmit, or store any content you type into the notepad. Notes and note titles are saved in your browser’s localStorage (keys textago_content and textago_title), which is local to your device and browser. Clearing your browser data, using private/incognito mode, or switching browsers will remove or hide your notes — we cannot recover them.
When you use Save as PDF, Save as DOCX or Upload .docx, your browser may download an open-source helper library (jsPDF, docx.js or Mammoth.js) from a public CDN such as cdnjs.cloudflare.com, unpkg.com or cdn.jsdelivr.net. Those CDNs receive your IP address and browser details as part of a normal file request, but they do not receive your note content. Files are generated and read entirely inside your browser.

We use this information to understand aggregate traffic, keep the Service secure, fix problems and fund the Service through advertising. We do not try to identify you personally and we do not link this data to your notes.
The home page lists every country version of TextAgo and may suggest one based on the language setting your browser sends with each request (the “Accept-Language” header). We do not look up your location from your IP address, we do not send your IP address to any geolocation service, and we do not redirect you automatically.
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-QNQKX9RFST) to collect statistics about how the Service is used. Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_QNQKX9RFST) are set only if you allow “Analytics”.
We use Google Consent Mode v2. Until you make a choice, all analytics and advertising storage signals are set to denied. If storage is denied, Google tags may send limited, cookieless pings (for example, timestamp, page URL, user agent and truncated/anonymised IP) which Google may use for aggregated, modelled measurement. IP addresses are not logged or stored by Google Analytics 4. Retention of event-level data is limited to the period configured in our Analytics property (no longer than 14 months).

We display advertisements served by Google AdSense on our tool pages (not on legal pages). Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to TextAgo and/or other sites on the Internet.
We do not control which advertisers appear and we do not endorse them. Our ads.txt file lists Google as an authorised seller of our ad inventory.
We use cookies and localStorage as described in detail in our Cookie Policy, including a table of every item, its purpose and its duration. You can review or change your choices at any time using .

We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of advertising-related sharing, choose “Reject non-essential” or switch off “Advertising” in Cookie settings, or visit Google Ad Settings.
You may request access to a summary of your personal data processed, correction, erasure, and grievance redressal, and may withdraw consent at any time. Write to the contact address below; we will respond within a reasonable period.
Residents of Brazil (LGPD), Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Türkiye, Nigeria, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Argentina, Poland and other jurisdictions may have similar rights under local law. Contact us and we will handle your request in line with the law that applies to you.
Because we do not hold your notes or any account profile, we may be unable to identify data relating to you unless you provide technical identifiers (for example, a cookie value). We may need to verify your request.
Browsers differ in how they signal “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control, and there is no common standard for responding. We rely on the Cookie settings control described above to let you manage analytics and advertising.
TextAgo is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Because we do not collect or transmit your notes, they cannot be intercepted or disclosed by us. Data in transit between your browser and our servers is protected with HTTPS. No online service can be guaranteed 100% secure.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change, and for material changes we may show the cookie banner again. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
